Transformation Team

The Transformation Team worked from September – November, 2006 to “develop a new transformative model…directly aligned with our academic faculties and the strategic directions of the University.”

Members of the Transformation Team were:

• Vivian Lewis, Associate University Librarian (Services) – Chair
• Melanie Garaffa, HR Consultant
• Barbara McDonald, Mills Library Reference Services Manager
• Paul Otto, Associate University Librarian (IT)
• Anne Pottier, Associate University Librarian (Collection Resources)
• Wade Wyckoff, Cataloguing Policy Librarian

The Team:

• worked with consultants on a Stakeholder Review
• invited speakers to discuss transformation:

• Mike Ridley (University of Guelph)
• Drs. Brian Detlor, Claude Eilers and Geoffrey Rockwell (McMaster University)

• met with library staff individually and in groups
• submitted an internal organizational audit to the University Librarian

and wrapped up its work in mid- November.
